The family took the reins back in 2000, and under the leadership of Managing Director Jo-Anne Oldfield, the hotel has grown with heart and soul at its core. Jo-Anne has spent over three decades shaping the Sitwell into what it is today, supported by Executive Chef Daniel Nutt, who’s been wowing diners for just as long, and General Manager John Makin, whose hospitality know-how keeps everything running smoothly.
Over the years we’ve poured love, graft and investment into every corner of the hotel. From fresh refurbishments to the launch of The House at The Sitwell Arms (a gorgeous self-catering property complete with hot tub and games room), we’re always evolving while keeping the character that makes us who we are.

Weddings here are special. With six acres of gardens, rose orchards, a lake and beautifully restored function rooms, couples fall in love with the setting as much as the team behind it. With over 100 years of combined wedding experience, we know how to make those once-in-a-lifetime moments feel effortless.

The Sitwell Arms Hotel, Renishaw is a Grade 2 listed building located in the parish of Eckington, Derbyshire. The original part to this attractive stone-built hotel dates back to the 18th century when it was a famous coaching inn.
